This upper housing was removed from a freshwater engine but it was used on a pontoon boat and thus the scum on it. This has been open and inspected and the gears are in good working condition but there's been some water intrusion and the gears do have some pitting. Nevertheless, this is rolling smoothly. It should probably be resealed and will last for some years but this is a cheapy unit for a reason. It's not pretty and it's showing some age. It's a B condition part that should be bought as such. Please add oil before installation.We are now offering a 6 Month mechanical warranty for this part. Should you have any problems within this time frame, we will simply refund/replace the item as necessary. That is a warranty against gear failure ONLY. We will not take returns for any other reason. |
