C# 1656-8865-C Mercruiser 1988 & Older Bravo I Lower Unit Outdrive

With our experience we have found this unit  to be a very rare one. Upon inspection of the unit, we noticed that around the area of the carrier, it looks like it has been sanded for painting but never finished. Therefore, we are selling this for parts or repair. We have inspected the shafts on the unit and both the driveshaft and propeller shaft are straight. The housing is pitted.  The driveshaft measures approximately 7-1/8" long and has 15 splines. The propeller shaft also has 15 splines. All the splines are in great shape and are not chipped or cracked. The unit does spin. There is some corrosion on the unit, particularly around the bearing carrier. Please see pictures. The skeg is in great shape and is not cracked or broken. Please note that this does not come with the trim tab. This unit will come exactly as pictured. The unit has been drained of oil and will need to be added prior to installation.
